Red Carpet Charity Event and Fashion Show to Benefit Chrysalis
Beauty Behaviors holds a Fall Fashion Festival
to Benefit Chrysalis [501(c)3]

SCOTTSDALE, AZ () September 2nd, 2008 — Local entrepreneurs are gathering at a red carpet event and fashion show to raise $10,000 for Chrysalis, a nonprofit group dedicated to servicing the needs of women, children and men throughout the Valley, who are trying to break the cycle of violence and abuse.
All are invited to attend the event, which will take place on September 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the SIX Lounge in Scottsdale. The event includes a silent auction with items ranging from Lia Sophia jewelry to gift baskets and luxury resort packages.
101.5 JamZ will be covering the event, along with Sonoran Living, Desert Living Magazine, 944.com and various other media venues.
In addition to the silent auction, dancers from The Foot Klan will be performing. Guests will also be treated to live performances from P-Thoro, King Jay and Rexxx – tha Street Politician as everyday women model the latest luxurious looks on fall’s rich fashion palette. Entertainment provided by DJ N9NE of Kaoz Entertainment. All proceeds benefit Chrysalis, a 501(c)3 corporation.
“Our goal is to create an entertaining event that inspires confidence in all women,” says Alison Waidell, Moonlit Media. “We want to show women that real beauty is internal, not external.”
A speaker from Chrysalis will regale the group with inspiring tales of families who have overcome domestic violence and subsequently discovered their inner beauty.
You can help raise the awareness of domestic violence by attending the Fall Fashion Event benefiting Chrysalis on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at The SIX Lounge in Scottsdale with doors opening at 2:00pm. The Fashion Show and performances are open to the public 18+ years and older. After 8:00pm the Event will be open only to ages 21+ and older. Entry is a $10 tax-deductable donation. All donations made throughout the night are tax-deductible and all proceeds benefit Chrysalis to help raise awareness of domestic abuse in Arizona.
“We urge everyone to attend this event,” said Jennifer O’Boyle of Joyful Creations Photography. “In addition to the low entrance fee of $10, we have created a limited number of Platinum packages for guests. For only $50, guests can enter the event on our red carpet, access the VIP cash bar and enjoy priority seating for the fashion show. This package also allows entry to the VIP after-party and includes a gift-filled ‘swag bag’. All guests will enjoy access to the silent auction, raffle, cash bar, and plenty of hors d’oeuvres. But most importantly, all proceeds benefit Chrysalis.”
According to Chrysalis’ website, NoAbuse.org, nearly one-third of American women (31 percent) report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives. Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. Children of abused mothers are six times more likely to attempt suicide and 50% more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol than their peers who grow up in non-abusive households.
